Hundreds of thousands of people came out today in London to March for a Free Palestine. Hundreds of thousands of people disagreeing with the current government stance on the war. Don’t let the media fool you, people in the UK stand with Palestine.
i think anyone who is genuinely worried about their mental health bc of the situation in gaza probably needs to reformat their way of thinking about it. the answer is not to take a “mental health break” where you pretend whats happening in gaza doesnt exist and stop being vocal and refuse to hear people around you who are vocal. the way to do that “mental health break” much more effectively and not selfishly would be to remove yourself from constant streams of idiotic and/or murderously evil people. stop watching tiktok debates. stop reading genocidal reddit comments and news articles from sources you KNOW want palestine dead. stop putting the focus on the murderers and keep your attention on sympathy and love for the murdered, on hope and optimism (even if naive) and activism to do your part in making things better. dont get me wrong the murderers still need to be dealt with but if you as an individual feel like you’re getting too overwhelmed with despair to be helpful, the answer is to shift your focus away from those causing the despair, not to ignore and abandon those who have to actually live through it.

It is as we know near impossible to get aid and resources into Gaza right now but they sent out this email on the 13th:
They also sell things like cookbooks to engage in, support, and preserve Palestinian culture. As their website states it is difficult for them to get orders out right now but some of the things I ordered last week arrived quickly!
What’s happening now in Palestine is unacceptable, but do not despair! That’s what they want! That’s why they cut off communications in Gaza! They want people to give up, they want people to believe wholeheartedly that nothing can be done so that they can continue with impunity and write history as they wish, to paint themselves as victors of a war that was never a war to begin with! Keep sharing and raising their voices, share the stories of the people, keep the story of Palestine alive! They hide behind their bombs and their chemical warfare and their western propaganda but they cannot silence the masses! They can only wish they had an ounce of the bravery the Palestinian people have, standing their ground against such an overwhelming force! May Palestine be free, from the river to the sea. May the eyes of cowards never sleep!

There is still hope. Say it out loud. Palestine will be free. The Palestinian people will celebrate their culture and heritage with each other. We will love and be loved. Do not fall into the trap of despair.
I’m not saying this just for morale. I’m saying this as a reminder that the colonialist regime relies on your despair, uses it to further their propaganda. Once you lose hope, and tell everyone you lose hope, you are aiding the Zionist Entity.
Make it a point that you BELIEVE that Palestine will be free even in the face of genocide. Hope can halt genocide. Do not aid our oppressors.
